Scuba diving allowed me to see and truly comprehend the world that I set out to help protect, and fostered an even deeper appreciation of the other side of our world that is inextricably linked to our daily lives, even when we do not see it.
Open water certification
Baa Atoll, Maldives (Feb, 2025)
I took my first open water certification from the Kihadhoo island in Baa Atoll of the Maldives. What would normally be confined dives in swimming pools were conducted in the lagoon and immediately followed by open water dives on the vibrant house reef. I got to see so much already while still training, from eagle rays to moray eels and blacktip reef sharks and even a swarm of up to 40 nurse and lemon sharks on a night dive.
