HUMAN
HEALTH
Ocean ecosystems and human physiology operate under shared biological principles, including resilience, balance, and regenerative capacity. Disruptions in marine systems—such as biodiversity loss, oxidative stress, and chronic inflammation—mirror pathological processes observed in aging human populations.
My early work in ocean mapping demonstrated how system failure accelerates when feedback loops are ignored. This systems-based understanding informs my transition into human health research, where aging is increasingly treated as a modifiable, inflammation-driven process. Through my work with the BioArmor XPRIZE Healthspan team, I apply ecological systems thinking to clinical research targeting oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and metabolic dysregulation using evidence-based, scalable interventions.
BioArmor is the only high school–led team to reach the semifinals of the XPRIZE Healthspan, collaborating with academic researchers, clinicians, and biotechnology partners to advance rigorous, evidence-based research on aging as a modifiable biological process.
